Wet Finishing Media

The quality of any given is surface is the product of using the right process media in conjunction with the individual machine.

In addition, the right media must be selected for each type of workpiece. With wet finishing, a water/compound mixture is normally used.

This serves to absorb and rinse away the particles of debris from the workpieces and the abrasive medium, ensuring that maximum efficiency is retained throughout the entire processing cycle and preventing the media from clogging.

Dry Finishing

The right combination of machine and process medium is always critical. We constantly strive to rise to the challenge of creating the right combination to give perfect surfaces.

As the name says, this process is based on dry operation. With dry abrasive granulates, problems can arise unless a sufficiently powerful extraction unit is used.

Dry finishing is therefore mainly used for polishing. Here, a polishing paste or powder adheres to the polishing medium. The motion generated in the mass finishing process causes friction between the medium and the workpiece, thereby removing material stock and giving a a highly polished surface.
